Harvest will be closed the afternoon of the 13th of December for its end of year function. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will be open normal operating hours from Thursday. You can still email Sales and Support which will be responded to as soon as possible.
This Harvest solar powered Industrial Weather Station is located in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo near the small airfield and mission hospital in the town of Mulongo.
It uses the Iridium Satellite network to send hourly weather data back to the Harvest servers. To the best of our knowledge it is the only functioning online weather station in the DR Congo - a country of 65 million people with a land area similar to the whole of Western Europe.
The weather station uses professional sensors such as Vaisala wind and Hydrological Services rain gauge. We can ship these units anywhere in the world in a FedEx 25Kg jumbo box. They are ideal for NGOs and mining companies who need good weather data for flights into remote areas. They will work anywhere on Earth with a clear view of the sky! Installation is very simple and takes less than 30 minutes.
